The home’s original steel structure, made from the same materials intended for the Empire State Building, still supports this Gatsby Glamour Historic Home Restoration in Larchmont. Jazz Age glamour meets modern luxury here, where the spirit of the 1920s finds a new rhythm in contemporary living.

Because the steel frame defined what could be changed, every detail was considered. This thoughtful approach reflects the care and precision required in restoring historic homes at the highest level. The goal was to preserve the home’s architectural story while inviting light, movement, and texture into everyday life.

In the living room, a custom bar and modern art collection capture the owners’ playful sense of sophistication. The dining room’s hand-painted ceiling, restored by artisans, glows above gatherings lit by a sculptural glass chandelier. Throughout, the design balances history and restraint. Arched windows, a marble staircase, and smooth plastered walls sit easily beside sculptural lighting and tailored finishes.

Each room reveals a quiet dialogue between past and present. Soft plaster walls and brass accents lend warmth. Light moves through the house in a way that feels alive, drawing attention to craftsmanship rather than ornament. The result is graceful and grounded, layered with story yet unburdened by time.
